SKOWHEGAN – The Maine State Grange will hold its 133rd annual convention starting today through Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Skowhegan Community Center.
Speakers include Ed Luttrell, National Grange membership-leadership director and National Grange representative to the Maine Convention and Walter Boomsma, publicity director.
Maine Agriculture Commissioner Seth Bradstreet, first lady Karen Baldacci, and gubernatorial candidates Barbara Merrill, Chandler Woodcock and Pat LaMarche also will attend and speak.
Convention delegates are expected to consider a variety of resolutions, from the National Animal Identification System to the Taxpayer Bill of Rights .
