News in brief ORONO: UNIVERSITY POLICE STILL INVESTIGATING ASSAULT REPORT

A report of a woman being accosted last weekend on the University of Maine campus had not produced new leads or tips in the case as of Wednesday. The university student told police she had been grabbed while walking near Shibles Hall late Saturday evening. UM police have released a composite sketch of the man, described as being 22 to 29 years old, 6 feet tall, slim to medium build with short brown hair. Investigators are working on little information. “There are still many questions that remain to be answered in this case,” Chief Noel March of the university’s public safety department said Wednesday. The report of the incident has prompted some on campus to take a closer look at safety. “Hopefully the community will be a little more aware, a little more alert,” March said.
