The Toxics Action Center, a nonprofit organization that helps communities or groups fight pollution, will hold a daylong workshop for grass-roots activists at Bowdoin College’s Druckenmiller Hall on Saturday.

The “Environmental Action 2006” event will feature workshops on topics ranging from identifying common toxins in the home to running environmental campaigns and lobbying politicians.

Interested parties can register online at www.toxicsaction.org or at the door. The registration fee Saturday will be $25.
