MILLINOCKET – Josh Daley scored four touchdowns and rushed for a two-point conversion to lead Dirigo of Dixfield to a 39-14 high school football victory over the Stearns Minutemen Friday night.
Daley recovered a fumble and returned it 25 yards for a touchdown to open the scoring for the Cougars. He added 3- and 24-yard runs for touchdowns and a 38-yard punt return.
Dakota Holmquist completed a 30-yard pass to Enrico Ross for a touchdown and Kevin O’Leary rushed three yards for a score.
Gene Kim had a 40-yard TD run for the Minutemen. He totaled 85 yards on 15 carries and also had five tackles, four for a loss.
Josh Saucier caught a 35-yard pass from Tom Jones in the fourth quarter for Stearns.

Hampden 21, Maranacook 6
At Hampden, while Hampden Academy was leading 21-6 at halftime, the game was called due to dangerous conditions. The game is tentatively set to resume Saturday at 1 p.m.
Gardiner, Jay win
Several other games were played in the state despite the rainy weather as Gardiner defeated Morse of Bath 56-0, Jay shut out Madison 26-0, Lisbon defeated Old Orchard Beach 16-6, and Mountain Valley of Rumford blanked Lake Region 31-0.
