Emery leads Husson past St. Joseph’s in OT

STANDISH – KaroleAnne Emery’s goal in overtime lifted the Husson College Eagles to a 3-2 field hockey victory over St. Joseph’s College Friday.

Emery also recorded two assists.

Elisha Dorso had a goal and assist and Shawna Bell added another for the Eagles of Bangor. Kelly Bocchino had nine saves on 14 shots.

Jessica Baker had a goal and assist and Julia Ostrowski a goal for the Monks. Ashley Tessier stopped eight out of 11 shots.

Volleyball

Binghamton 3, Maine 2

At Vestal, N.Y., Ashley Meffert had 45 set assists and 23 digs to lead Binghamton University past the University of Maine, 23-30, 30-24, 30-21, 32-34, 15-8.

Jaclyn Strader had 15 digs for 10-14 Binghamton and Jacki Kane added 12 kills and two blocks.

Jessica Wolfenden led 4-15 Maine with 15 digs and 12 kills. Shelly Seipp had 53 set assists and nine digs and Laura Goettsch added 16 kills. Amy Lawson totaled 15 kills as Brittany Kiehl had 11 kills and Jennifer Domer added 11 digs.
