HAMPDEN – Morgan Chasse’s goal 43 seconds into overtime lifted the No. 2 Bangor Christian Patriots to a 1-0 Class D girls soccer quarterfinal win over the No. 10 Katahdin Cougars Saturday.

Gretchen Veevaert assisted on the winning goal and Mariah Bach had five saves on six shots for the 15-0 Patriots.

Goalie Mariah Bach had five saves on six shots for the 15-0 Patriots.

Kayla Stevens had 12 saves on 19 shots for the 5-9-2 Cougars of Stacyville.

Class B

Ellsworth 2, MCI 0

At Ellsworth, Maggie Harding netted an unassisted goal in the first half as the No. 2 Eagles went on to shut out No. 7 Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield.

Emily Lyons, assisted by Dominique Keefe, added a goal in the second half. Catie Cravens had two saves on two shots for the 14-0-1 Eagles.

Bianca Asaro had 15 saves on 18 shots for the 6-9-1 Huskies.

Presque Isle 3, Medomak 0

At Presque Isle, Angela Norsworthy tallied a goal and an assist as No. 3 Presque Isle downed No. 6 Medomak Valley.

Kayla Lagasse and Sarah Gonsiorski added a goal apiece for the 14-1 Wildcats. Molly Hamel made six saves on nine shots.

Rachel Keefe and Allison Cornforth combined to make 16 saves on 20 shots for the 7-7-1 Panthers.

Bucksport 4, Mount View 1

At Bucksport, Lindsey Gordon netted two goals and tallied an assist as No. 4 Bucksport defeated No. 5 Mount View.

Keely Sullivan and Cassie Gourley each added a goal for Bucksport. Terren Hall, Meg LaLonde and Gourley each grabbed an assist. Katie Hurd stopped five of six shots for the 12-1-2 Golden Bucks.

Ava Abrahamson scored a second half goal for Mount View while Caitlin Kupferman recorded the assist. Miranda Grotton made five saves on 13 shots for the 7-7-1 Mustangs.

Class C

Washington Acad. 2, PVHS 0

At East Machias, Kayla Wood and Andi Flannery each scored a first half goal to lead No. 4 Washington Academy by No. 5 Penobscot Valley of Howland.

Wood recorded the assist on the goal by Flannery. Irene Lewey made eight saves on 27 shots for the 11-2 Raiders.

Kelsey Lavertu blocked eight of 28 shots for the 11-3-1 Howlers.
