Kim Stephenson of Hampden tallied her first-career goal for the 13-3-1 Black Bears, who tied a school single-season record for victories and clinched the No. 3 seed in the upcoming America East playoffs.
Veronique Fleury tallied an assist and Jasmine Phillips made four saves on five shots for her 10th shutout.

Kristen Gabor, Jessie Taylor, Lindsey Comeau and Ashley Douglass each scored a goal for the 9-4-2 Mariners. Nicole McKenna, Kristen Gaylord and Diana Manatt-Rogers tallied an assist apiece and Hillary Arris earned the shutout without making a save.

At Farmington, Erin Campbell scored two goals in an eight-minute span in the second half Saturday to lead UMaine-Farmington over Thomas College of Waterville.
Jackie Mrazik added a goal and Julie Walters and Katharina Berger each had an assist for the 12-6 Beavers.

At Fort Kent, Maria Williams scored two goals and assisted on another Sunday as UMaine-Fort Kent finished the regular season undefeated.
Nicole Nowakowski had a goal and an assist for the 15-0 Bengals. Jodyann Blake, Caroline Faust and Sarah Pinette netted a goal apiece and Kerri Frazer added an assist. Heather Hartman recorded her 10th shutout without making a save.

At Waterville Saturday, Laura Williamson and Meg Cordner each had a goal and an assist to lead Colby past Connecticut College.
With the goal, Williamson became the first Colby player in program history to reach 100 career points. Katie McCabe and Libba Cox each scored a goal for the 8-2-3 White Mules. Meggie Herlihy added an assist and Liza Benson made four saves on 13 shots.
Rachael Schefrin had a goal and an assist and Analisse Rios added a goal for the 2-9 Camels. Sarah Beaudoin made seven saves on 15 shots.

At Standish Sunday, Heather Stanger netted two goals as Saint Joseph’s defeated Wheelock.
Brianna Jordan added a goal and Megan Willee had an assist for the 9-6 Monks. Shannon Northrop saved the only shot she faced.

At Castine, Matt Petrie scored on a Chase Higgins cross in the 97th minute Saturday to give UMaine-Presque Isle the win over Maine Maritime.
Robert Allen scored the first goal for the 7-5-1 Owls. Scott Clenchy made six saves on 13 shots.
Alan Alexander scored on a Mark Knight assist for the 0-12-4 Mariners. Luke McPartlin and Brian Nason combined to make six saves on 18 shots.

At Presque Isle Sunday, Matt Free netted two goals to lead UMaine-Presque Isle over UMaine-Machias.
Travis Parent, Victor Jacques and Nate Hale each tallied a goal and Matt Petrie, Joe Pinault and Curtis Alley had an assist apiece for the 8-5-1 Owls. Scott Clenchy saved all three shots he faced.

At Waterville, Jill Mauer had two goals and an assist Saturday to lead Connecticut College over Colby.
Kelsey Fredericks added a goal and Jamie Sheahan made three saves on 10 shots for the 6-6 Camels.
Mary Clare Snediker scored on a Kyla Wagman assist for the 3-9 White Mules. Jamie Enos made 10 saves on 14 shots.

At Standish, Julia Ostrowski scored two goals Sunday as Saint Joseph’s held off Anna Maria for the win.

Long Island 3, Maine 1
At Brooklyn, N.Y., Long Island defeated Maine 27-30, 30-24, 30-24, 30-17 on Saturday. With the loss, Maine drops to 4-16 overall.
Brittany Kichl led the Black Bears with 13 kills and Laura Goettsch added 10 kills and three blocks. Shelly Seipp had 40 assists.
Women’s hockey
Connecticut 8, Maine 3
At Storrs, Conn., Saturday, Connecticut set an NCAA record with six power-play goals as the Huskies upended the Black Bears.
Jaclyn Hawkins netted three goals and Amy Hollstein added two more. Leslie Hurlburn, Alicia Ramolla and Brittany Wilson each notched a goal for the 4-1 Huskies. Brittany Wilson made 24 saves in the win.
Vanessa Vani, Robyn Law and Brigitte Laflamme tallied a goal apiece for the 1-6 Black Bears. Genevieve Turgeon and Lundy Day combined to make 37 saves.
Northeastern 6, Maine 5
At Boston, Mass. Sunday, Missy Elumba scored two goals, including the game-winner as Northeastern downed Maine.
Sarah Belliveau made 26 saves for the 4-1-0 Huskies.
Vanessa Vani netted three goals for the 1-6 Black Bears. Sonia Corriveau and Brigitte Laflamme added a goal apiece and Lundy Day made 37 saves.
