Teddy Murcell

University of Maine freshman forward Teddy Purcell was named the Hockey East Superskills Hockey Rookie of the Week. Purcell scored first-period goals in both games as Maine swept the University of North Dakota.

Ben Bishop

University of Maine sophomore goal tender Ben Bishop was honored as the Pure Hockey Defensive Player of the Week by the Hockey East. Bishop made 48 saves on 50 shots in two wins over third-ranked North Dakota.

Daniel Kiernan

Colby College senior defender Daniel Kiernan was named the NESCAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week. Kiernan had a goal and an assist in a 2-0 week for the Mules.

Nicole Mace

University of New England field hockey player Nicole Mace was named Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week. She had two goals and two assists as the Nor’Easters won two games.

Maria Williams

Maria Williams of UMaine-Fort Kent was named Sunrise Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. She scored two goals and added an assist in a 6-0 win over UMaine-Machias.

Heather Hartman

UMaine-Fort Kent goalie Heather Hartman earned Sunrise Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors in women’s soccer. She recorded her fifth straight shutout in a 6-0 win over UMaine-Machias.

Lily Porteus

Lily Porteus of UMaine-Machias was named Sunrise Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. She had 15 kills and 6 aces in a win over Thomas College.

Andy Martin

Andy Martin of UMaine-Fort Kent was named the Sunrise Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. He scored two goals in a conference win over UMaine-Machias.

Derek Plourde

UMaine-Fort Kent goalie Derek Plourde earned Sunrise Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors in men’s soccer. He notched his fifth shutout of the year on Saturday against UMaine-Machias.
