BANGOR – Police arrested a Glenburn woman Tuesday morning after it was reported that she rammed her former boyfriend’s car with her own car then smashed his windows with a barbell.

Kimberly Ugro, 32, was charged with criminal mischief and driving to endanger after the incident that began at the intersection of Sanford and Cedar streets and ended up near the police station on Court Street with police officers witnessing some of the woman’s wrath.

The former boyfriend, a 32-year-old man from Old Town, told Bangor police Officer Butch Moor that he and Ugro had bought the car last week, with Ugro putting $900 down for it. They broke up last Friday.

Tuesday morning, Ugro called her former boyfriend and told him that she had plans to damage the car. The man said he thought she was kidding and drove into Bangor on some errands. But at the corner of Sanford and Cedar streets, his former girlfriend struck his car. He tried to drive around her but was struck again, he told Moor.

The man then drove to the police station, pulling into a driveway up the road, where he said Ugro struck his car again.

Officer Myron Warner came up from the station and reported seeing Ugro hitting the windshield with a barbell that she told police she brought with her for just that purpose.
