Basic training

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Army Reserve Pvt. Michael Spekhardt graduated from basic training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C., to be a member of the Army National Guard of Reserve Split-option Program. The program allows students between their junior and senior years of high school to attend Army National Guard or Reserve weekend drills while still in school and to pursue a military career specialty after high school graduation.

Spekhardt, a Bangor High School student, is the son of Stephen Spekhardt of Bangor.

FORT KNOX, Ky. – Army Reserve Pvt. Wesley Comeau has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky. He is the son of James and Laurie Comeau of Old Town.
