The Blue Hill Regulators, a branch of the Blue Hill Rifle & Pistol Club that runs the cowboy action shoots, will hold a charity shoot on Sunday at the club.
The final shoot of the season has traditionally been a charity shoot, during which participants have the option of “buying a miss” for $5, with proceeds going to a local charity.
This year’s charity is Jina’s Gym.
Jina Haslam was 14 when she was killed when she was struck by a car while riding her bicycle one week after her eighth-grade graduation in 2006.
Her family began raising money to build a new gym for Jina’s former school, and efforts throughout Hancock County have contributed to the cause.
At the shoot the Blue Hill Regulators are encouraging not only cowboy action shooters, but also spectators, to contribute to Jina’s Gym.
Anyone wishing to participate in the shoot or to watch or make a donation should contact Chris at 584-3000 or Dan at 667-3586.
