BANGOR – A man was stabbed Friday night inside Carolina Sports and Spirits during a bar fight, according to Bangor police Sgt. Jim Owens.

A 31-year-old male with a last known address of Eddington suffered a non-life-threatening stab wound to the abdomen and was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center, Owens said Sunday.

There were several witnesses, but no arrests have been made. The case remains under investigation by the Bangor Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division.

The stab wound was made by a knife, but no weapon was recovered, Owens said.

The incident occurred inside the bar and was reported by a Carolina staff member. Owens wasn’t sure Sunday afternoon whether the victim still was in the hospital.
