Burglars hit home in Bangor for 3rd time

BANGOR – For the third time in seven months, a Pine Street home was burglarized this week.

The burglar or burglars forced their way into the home in daylight Tuesday, taking electronics and DVDs, Detective Sgt. Paul Kenison of the Bangor Police Department said Wednesday. The burglary was noticed about 1 p.m. when family members returned home, he said.

Detectives processed the scene, although Kenison would not specify what evidence was obtained, citing the ongoing investigation.

The home was broken into in late October and for the first time on March 9. Some of the same items were taken and the burglaries appear similar, although Kenison said in one instance a door may have been left open.

The investigators are looking into whether the three burglaries are connected.

“We’re certainly looking at it as a possibility,” he said.

Kenison said the family has been encouraged to improve their security at the home.

Anyone with information can contact Kenison at 947-7382 ext. 252.
