The Jacksonville United Methodist Church is seeking other churches and organizations to partner an effort to raise funds by selling 24-inch balsam fir wreaths. The wreaths would be made in Washington County, then delivered to towns along the Interstate 95 corridor in early December. Participating churches and organizations would purchase the wreaths from the Jacksonville church for $14 each, then sell them for at least $22. Organizers believe that wreath makers, Jacksonville United Methodist Church and participating organizations would profit. The Jacksonville United Methodist Church plans to contribute its profits from the venture to Down East Maine Missions, Neighbors Helping Neighbors, We Care Babe Center and Migrant Ministries.
