GARDINER – Devon Brown had nine carries for 101 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead top-seeded Gardiner past No. 4 Hampden Academy 28-6 in the PTC Class B football semifinals Friday night.
Brown added 14 tackles and one sack on defense for the Tigers.
Brad Carleton rushed for a touchdown in the first quarter and caught a 13-yard pass from Kyle Stilphen in the second quarter. Stilphen completed five of six passes for 48 yards and converted all four extra-point kicks.

At Fairfield, Aaron Champagne rushed 19 times for 132 yards and scored a second-quarter touchdown to lift No. 1 Lawrence over No. 4 Messalonskee of Oakland in the PTC Class A semifinals.
Lawrence will play second-seeded Bangor next weekend for the championship.
Jack Hersom completed a 59-yard pass to Nick Nelson in the first quarter for the Bulldogs.
Shawn Champagne ran 2 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter and rushed for two two-point conversions. Cory Church added a 12-yard TD run.
