All veterans residing in the Milo-Brownville area are invited to bring a guest and attend the annual Veterans Day Dinner hosted by Three Rivers Kiwanis of Milo and Brownville, and MSAD 41 Penquis Valley Key Club.
Three Rivers Kiwanis president Ethelyn Treworgy wrote that this very special event will begin with “a very moving POW-MIA ceremony” at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Milo Town Hall.
For several years, she added, the dinner has been hosted for area veterans “to honor them and show our appreciation for their dedicated service to our country.”
After the POW-MIA ceremony, a turkey dinner will be served at 12:15 p.m.
After dinner, veterans and guests will be entertained by the Children’s Chorus under the direction of Stephanie Gillis.
To make your reservation, or to receive more information, call Treworgy at 943-7748, or Nancy Grant at 943-5809.

An informational program about Rides for ME is planned for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, in the Community Room at the Hampden Town Hall, 106 Western Avenue.
