The Penobscot County Soil and Water Conservation District, a member of the Maine Association of Conservation Districts, is now coordinating its annual Christmas wreath sale. The Maine Association of Conservation Districts is the statewide voice of Maine’s 16 local conservation districts. By working with landowners, organizations and government, districts have helped to protect soil, water, forestry, wildlife and other natural resources for over 60 years. Proceeds from the sale are used to promote conservation education in Maine.

The Christmas wreaths are handmade by Maine wreath artisans. They are 22 inches in diameter and decorated with Austrian pinecones, reindeer moss, red berries and a red velvet waterproof bow. The $27 price tag includes packaging and UPS shipping in the continental United States.

Wreaths will ship from the factory. Orders are due by Thursday, Nov. 30, and will ship by Monday, Dec. 4.

Call the district 990-3676 or visit www.penobscotswcd.org for more information or to obtain an order form, or write: Penobscot County SWCD, 28 Gilman Plaza, Suite 2, Bangor, ME 04401.
