SKOWHEGAN – Chad Hall, 26, of Waterville was sentenced Monday in Somerset County Superior Court to six years in jail with all but two years suspended for stabbing an 18-year-old man in Fairfield in September.

Hall pleaded guilty to the charge of aggravated assault for stabbing Adam Holt at a Woodman Avenue home.

Holt was airlifted to Lewiston from a Waterville hospital after he was stabbed once in the neck and a second time in the side.

Assistant District Attorney Brent Davis said four people were gathered at the home when an argument erupted between Hold and Hall.

Once Hall completes his two-year sentence, he will be on probation for two years and must pay $5,890 in restitution to the victim.
