Genevieve Turgeon of the University of Maine women’s hockey team was named Pure Hockey Defensive Player of the Week. Turgeon made 46 saves for the Black Bears in Sunday night’s bout against Providence, preserving a 1-1 tie.

Bracey Barker

Bracey Barker of the University of Maine women’s basketball team was honored as America East co-Player of the Week. Barker scored a game-high 16 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor in Maine’s 66-46 win over William and Mary on Saturday.

Ray Jean

Ray Jean of the Bentley hockey team was chosen as the Atlantic Hockey Goaltender of the Week. The Randolph, Maine native made 25 saves to record his second career shutout in the Falcon’s 3-0 win over Army on Saturday.
