Belfast High center midfielder Kallie Aldus has been named one of four finalists for the Miss Maine Field Hockey Award while former high school coaches Dodi Saucier and Donna Jordan will be inducted into the Maine Field Hockey Hall of Fame, the Maine Field Hockey Association has announced.
Aldus is joined by Skowhegan midfielder Courtney Veinotte, Hall-Dale of Farmingdale forward-mid Katie Frett, and York forward Michaela Franey.
The Miss Maine Field Hockey winner will be announced Sunday, Dec. 3, in a banquet at the Augusta Civic Center. Hall of Fame honorees will also be inducted.
Colby College coach Amy Corbett-Bernatchez, former South Portland High coach Janet Willis and former Dirigo of Dixfield coach Sally Clark are also to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Jordan coached the Piscataquis of Guilford team for 22 years, amassing a 268-92-7 record with two Class C state and four Eastern Maine titles. Jordan also played field hockey at the University of Maine were she was a goalie in 1975.
Saucier played for the University of New Hampshire before coaching the Orono High team for 13 years, including two Class C state titles, and Old Town for three years.
Aldus was a tri-captain on a Belfast team that won its third straight Class B state title earlier this month and has won 54 straight games in three years. She will play for UMaine next year.
Kelsey Jackson of Belfast won the Miss Maine Field Hockey Award last year.
