NASHUA, N.H. – The former Canterbury woman accused of running off to Florida with her teen lover last summer will stay in jail while awaiting her trial next month.
Jennifer Malone, 32, who now lives in Farmington, is charged with kidnapping a Nashua teen she met while working as a counselor at Mount Prospect Academy in Plymouth. Authorities searched for Malone, her 8-year-old son and the teen for 10 days in June, before finding them in Florida.
She was released on bail after being returned to New Hampshire, but was jailed in September on a stalking charge for contacting the teen in Nashua. One of her bail conditions was that she stay away from him. A judge has approved the prosecutor’s request to revoke Mallone’s bail because of the contact.
Her kidnapping trial is scheduled for Dec. 11.
