BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Taryn Peacock and Kate Sunstrum each recorded two goals and two assists to lead the University of Maine women’s hockey team to a 13-1 victory over Sacred Heart Friday night.

Thirteen different players earned a point in the win, which extended Maine’s unbeaten streak to five games. The two teams meet again today at 2 p.m.

Brigitte Laflamme chipped in with two goals for the 4-7-2 Bears while Jenna Ouellette notched five assists and a goal. Abby Barton, Kelly Law, Vanessa Vani, Jenna Cowan, Robyn Law, and Chantal Jaillet each added a goal. Lundy Day made 20 saves.

Maine scored three goals in a 90-second span late in the second period and tacked on six goals in the third period.

Whitney Dziama scored a third-period goal for 0-9 Sacred Heart, and Stephanie Boulay made 37 saves.
