LINCOLN -A tree blown over by heavy winds cut electricity to an undetermined number of town residents Friday morning when it took out power lines on Town Farm Road, firefighters said.

The tree hit lines on Town Farm near Route 2 at about 10:21 a.m.. Firefighters cleared the tree and associated debris by noon. It was unclear when power was restored. Offices at Bangor Hydro were closed on Friday.

Winds were gusting from 20 to 35 mph through most of the morning.
