BANGOR – Festival of Lights Parade sponsored by the Rotary Club, 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2. This year’s theme is “Embrace the Magic.” The Bangor Christmas tree also will be lighted. The Bangor Band, a brass ensemble, will play Christmas carols in the square 3:15-4:30 p.m. To participate, call 973-6168.

At the sale, River Coalition will serve as host for photos with Santa, a children’s shopping room and a tin can auction the day of the cookie sale. ORONO – Holiday walking tour of homes and churches as part of bicentennial celebration noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16. Tickets are $15 each or two for $25 and are available at DeGrasse Jewelers, Orono Pharmacy, The Pretty Woman, The Store Ampersand, Judy’s Scrappin’ & Stampin’, the Orono Public Library and the town office. On the day of the tour, tickets and brochures will be available at the Church of the Universal Fellowship at 82 Main St.
