BRUNSWICK – The Bowdoin College Polar Bears raced out to a 37-20 halftime lead Tuesday night en route to a 60-45 women’s college basketball victory over the Southern Maine Huskies for their 72nd consecutive home victory, the longest streak in the country.
Eileen Flaherty led undefeated Bowdoin with 15 points and 12 rebounds and Jill Anelauskas tossed in 15 points. Marisa Berne chipped in with 12.
Nicole Paradis paced Southern Maine of Gorham with 11 points.

At Castine, Derek DiFrederico poured in 25 points, dished out eight assists and tallied five steals as Maine Maritime Academy rolled past Unity.
Adam Haskell notched a double-double with 20 points and 10 boards and added four assists. Jarod Oldham came off the bench to chip in nine points and five rebounds for the Mariners.
Tyler Ferguson and Seth Stanhope each scored 13 points and Jared Erskine added 11 points and 14 rebounds for Unity.
