BREWER – Springheirville, the miniature Christmas village created by the late Lois Springer, will be displayed by the Brewer Historical Society at the Clewley Museum, 199 Wilson St. at these times:

. 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6.

. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.

. 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13.

. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16.

Displayed outdoors for many years, then indoors at the historical society in the 1980s, the village now has been cleaned, repaired and expanded by volunteer Gene Moore in a project that has taken more than a year.

Some 40 years ago, the village was a work in progress, one which took project carpenter and architect Lois Springer three months’ work during each of three years to create the more than 20 buildings which drew lovers of Christmas to see it all on her lawn on North Main Street.
