M. Michelle Hood, president and CEO of Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems, will be the speaker at the next Husson College Business Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7.

She will talk about challenges in today’s health care environment and what’s happening at Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems.

Hood has been in Maine since April. Her previous job was as president and CEO of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System, Montana Region, as well as the president and CEO of its flagship hospital, St. Vincent Healthcare. Before that, she was vice president and chief administrative officer at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Ky., and associate director at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Hood received a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Georgia State University.
