PRESQUE ISLE – “New Horizons in Higher Education,” an event to celebrate the partnership between Northern Maine Community College and Husson College, will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, in the lobby of the Christie building on the NMCC campus.

The partnership began in August. Husson has established an office on the NMCC campus and will hold evening and weekend courses. Husson also will guarantee admission into its baccalaureate programs to any NMCC student who graduates from an associate degree program with a grade point average of 3.0 or above.

NMCC also will offer its first adventure-based Discover Aroostook course beginning at 6 p.m. in the Christie lecture hall.

College officials will be available to register students for the winter and spring semesters. There will be no registration fee.
