Jon Sheets

University of Maine senior Jon Sheets was named the America East Player of the Week for the first time in his collegiate basketball career. The 6-foot-1 guard led the Black Bears to two wins while averaging 19 points per game. He also shot 50 percent (9-for-18) from 3-point range.

Nicole Paradis

University of Southern Maine freshman guard Nicole Paradis has been named the Little East Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week. Paradis averaged 11.5 points, three assists and two steals in two games off the bench.

Shelby Pickering

Husson’s Shelby Pickering was named the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week. Pickering helped lead the Eagles to a pair of conference wins, scoring 53 points in two games, and is averaging 23 points, eight rebounds and 6.7 steals.

Ashley Ames

Ashley Ames, a freshman at the University of Maine-Fort Kent, was named both the Sunrise Conference and Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Rookie of the Week. Ames recorded a triple-double against Lyndon State with 17 points, 16 rebounds and 10 blocks.
