Outlook: These teams are ranked third in their respective countries. Maine center and leading scorer Michel Leveille and goalie Ben Bishop won’t play and UNB leading scorer Rob Hennigar will be one of three UNB regulars who will miss the game, also. UNB lost to UMass 4-2 and Boston University 3-2 in October. Hennigar, Boyce, Colin Sinclair and Friesen will play for the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) All-Stars in the Winter University Games in Italy. UNB is second in goal production (4.13 per game) and power-play percentage (17.9 percent) in the AUS. The Varsity Reds have received a lot of production from their defense corps as Ferguson, Friesen and David Bowman (5 & 6) are among their top seven scorers. Ferguson was a second team All-Canadian Universities choice last year. Maine will look to continue its improvement in the defensive zone coverage and in attacking the opposing net.
