Dean Thibodeau graduated from the Air National Guard Academy of Military Science at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base in Tennessee, and he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Air National Guard. Thibodeau is the son of Dale and Patsy Thibodeau of Houlton.

Army Pvt. Donald Smyth graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Okla. Smyth is the son of Donald Smyth and Kathy Horton of Fort Fairfield.
