HOULTON – The Houlton boys basketball team parlayed offensive patience and a tenacious zone defense into their third victory of the season, a 45-34 high school decision over Presque Isle Wednesday.

Parker Brown paced Houlton offensively with 10 points, while Drew Farrar added nine for the Shiretowners, who host defending Class C state champion Calais on Friday night.

Adam Kingsbury led Presque Isle with 13 points, while Russ Mortland added 12.
