Norton free throws sink George Stevens

EAST SULLIVAN – Chelsey Norton sank a pair of free throws in the final seconds lift the Sumner Tigers to a 58-56 high school girls basketball victory over George Stevens Academy Wednesday.

Norton finished with a game-high 18 points and added three blocked shots for Sumner. Kyle Bragdon pumped in 15 points and Kayla Higgins 11. Ashley Robinson added six points and four steals.

Carli Davis sparked George Stevens of Blue Hill with 14 points.

Ramsdell added five rebounds and four steals for WA, while freshman guard Ben Teer had eight points and four assists and Eric Leighton also scored eight points.

Each of the 12 Raiders who played scored at least two points.
