Riverbend Players present holiday show

BUCKSPORT – The Riverbend Players of Bucksport have taken the plunge with their first Holiday Christmas Show of 2006. The show has a lineup of local talent and talent from surrounding communities.

The show will include the one-act play “Santa Goes on Strike,” where many of the roles of the actors have been reversed.

Shelly Curtain is the director of the play.

“Roles which you might expect would be played by youngsters, and others by adults, have been reversed,” she said.

The show will be presented at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at The Alamo Theatre, Main Street, Bucksport. Admission is free in the spirit of the holidays, but donations to benefit the Riverbend Players will be accepted.
