WASHINGTON – The Transportation Security Administration has created the following holiday checklist for air travelers:

. Do not overpack bags.

. Travel with unwrapped gifts. If a wrapped gift sets off an alarm, officers will need to unwrap it.

. Do not pack fragile or valuable items in checked baggage.

. Holiday foods such as cake and pie are permitted but may require further inspection.

. Talk to children about security procedures before you reach the airport.

. Passengers will be required to remove their outer coats and jackets.

. All footwear must be removed.
