WILLIAMSBURG PLANTATION: AMBULANCE DAMAGED

A Corinna man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly operating after suspension and for possession of a usable amount of marijuana after he damaged an ambulance. The Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department was notified at about 7:20 p.m. that a motorist was slumped over a steering wheel in a vehicle on the Williamsburg Road. The Three Rivers Ambulance was dispatched. When the attendant woke the driver, Brad Theriault, 27, became startled and removed his foot from the brake, which caused his vehicle to roll back into the ambulance, according to investigator Jamie Kane. Damage to the ambulance was about $500, Kane said. Theriault is expected to make his initial court appearance on Feb. 26 in 13th District Court in Dover-Foxcroft.
