Bookstore manager
CASTINE – Audrey Bradford of Penobscot was named recently store manager of the Maine Maritime Academy Bookstore by Follett Higher Education Group.
An employee of the Follett corporation for more than six years, Bradford originally joined the Maine Maritime division as a sales associate. She later served as accounting clerk for the store.
Bradford was promoted to assistant store manager last year, based largely on her leadership and assistance during the transition period for a new store manager and major store renovations.
Cited by Follett regional management for her ongoing commitment to customer service, Bradford has received three recognition awards and letters of commendation within the past 10 months for exemplary customer service effort. Two full-time staff members assist her.
Founded in 1873 by Charles W. Follett, the Follett corporation is the largest educational bookseller in the United States and the largest operator of college bookstores in North America. Stocking more than 100,000 titles, the company is the industry’s largest wholesaler of used books to higher education. Follett has operated the Maine Maritime Academy Bookstore for more than 20 years.
