DYER BROOK – Colby Clark scored on an offensive rebound with one second remaining to lift the Southern Aroostook boys basketball team to its first victory of the season, 41-40 over Washburn Thursday.
Dakota Sleeper paced the Warriors with 14 points, while Clark finished with 13.
Steve Pesut led a balanced effort for Washburn with 11 points. Matt Connelly and Alex McIntosh netted 10 each.

Bird had 12 points in the first half as the Pandas built a comfortable 37-21 halftime lead.
Sydney Surratt and Jon Connick had 11 points apiece for the winners and Peter Pickering chipped in 10 more.
Jared Anderson’s 13 points, Josh Guiggey’s 10 and Tom Anderson’s nine points paced Katahdin.
