Thanks from Manna

These words echo the true sentiment of this past holiday season. From turkeys to Christmas gifts, the community took care of thousands of people that without their support might have had a very bleak holiday season.

The people at Cumulus Radio that braved high winds and pouring rain to help provide turkeys for families, WABI for their turkey telethon, “Mike and Mike” that slept outside to raise 30 tons of food for food pantries and soup kitchens, to the hundreds of people that provided gifts for Christmas. WLBZ and WVII that provided television support to inform what the need was for our neighbors.

There is not enough space to thank all of the civic groups, the youth groups and individuals that came to Manna and brought gifts and food to support the family down the street, the guy next door, the person under the bridge.

Everyone understood this year that “it is more blessed to give than receive.” Manna Ministries would like to thank everyone that gave their time, their heart and their donations.
