Nichols’ late scores lead Crusaders past Trojans

BANGOR – Lauren Nichols hit a foul line jumper and a free throw with fewer than 15 seconds left to lead John Bapst to a 36-34 girls basketball victory over Mount Desert Island at the Bangor Auditorium.

Nichols had 18 points for the Crusaders and Hillary LaFerriere added 10 points.

Amethyst Cousins paced the Trojans with 15 points.
