Chasse helps BC Patriots hand PVHS girls first loss

BANGOR – Morgan Chasse scored nine of her game-high 14 points in the fourth quarter Thursday night as Bangor Christian handed Penobscot Valley of Howland its first loss with a 49-48 girls basketball victory at Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor.

Adrienne Ricci and Katie Libby each finished with 10 points for the Patriots.

Mindy Dolley paced the Howlers with 11 points.

Nick Cyr and Josh Stahl each netted a goal and Travis Deabay added an assist for the 2-3 Minutemen. Paul Rucci recorded 41 saves on 43 shots.

Mike Winkler and Dave White notched goals and Brad Bellemare and Chase Hutchinson chipped in an assist apiece. Chad Phillips made 23 saves on 26 shots for the 0-5-1 Ponies.
