15-year-old Christian loves sports

Christian is a funny, energetic 15-year-old young man with many interests. He enjoys basketball, meeting new people and hanging out with friends.

Christian is very comical and has a great sense of humor. He is a big basketball fan, and his favorite team is the Cleveland Cavaliers. His favorite player is LeBron James. He also enjoys football and baseball. Christian participated in a summer recreation program and was able to swim and play sports.

In school, Christian enjoys his social studies class the most. He likes to learn about the history of the world. He would also like to visit Africa to see elephants up close.

Christian struggles in some of his classes, and would benefit from being in a family where he could receive assistance with his homework. He has a desire to succeed, but is a rather typical teenager in that he needs encouragement and help from time to time.

Christian is very helpful around the house and will complete his chores with minimal prompting. He vacuums, sweeps, mows the lawn in the summer, and sets and clears the table for dinner.

The best family for Christian is one that is active and would enjoy including him in their activities. Christian has a nice personality, and thrives on positive interactions.

An adoption subsidy may be available to the most appropriate family. Christian is one of the 155 children in the state Department of Health and Human Services’ care who are seeking an adoptive family.

Based in Gardiner, A Family for ME is a nonprofit program that works in collaboration with DHHS to find foster and adoptive families for Maine children in care.
