Milestones

Milja Brecher-DeMuro, who has a strong family history with College of the Atlantic, took the position of alumni relations-development at the school in Bar Harbor in October.

Brecher-DeMuro graduated from Mount Desert Island High School in 1995 and received her bachelor of arts degree in child and adolescent development from Hampshire College in 1998. She later received a master’s degree in social work from the University of Maine in Orono.

At COA, Brecher-DeMuro’s goal in her new position is to reach out to the alumni community and strengthen its bonds with the college.
