Army Reserve Master Sgt. Ray Osejo participated in a medical readiness training exercise as a part of joint training efforts between U.S. and Ecuadorean military forces. He is the brother of Dead Osejo of Bangor.

Air Force Senior Airman Peter Lavoie is deployed overseas in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. A 2001 graduate of Hampden Academy, Lavoie is the son of Debbie Chaput of Hampden.

Army Pvt. Christopher S. Cote graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox in Kentucky. He is the grandson of Arthur and Gloria Cote of Bangor.
