Thompson’s 22 pace Wolverines

EAST MILLINOCKET – Kerry Thompson scored 22 points to lead Schenck of East Millinocket to a 79-46 boys basketball victory over Penquis of Milo Saturday.

Chris Byron had 18 points and 14 rebounds for the Wolverines and Ethan McLaughlin added 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Nathan Allen led the Penquis Patriots with 15 points.

At Sawyer Arena in Bangor Saturday, the John Bapst Crusaders got four goals from four different scorers and Nate Kuneman saved 23 of 24 shots.

Ethan Sale, Tyler Smith, Connor Scofield, and Derrick Antworth each scored a goal for the 5-3 Crusaders. John Cooper had two assists.

Miles Davee scored the only goal for the 2-4 Windjammers. Dylan White made 16 saves on 20 shots.

At Sawyer Arena in Bangor, John Cushing scored the winning goal without an assist with 4:30 left in regulation to lead Waterville to victory over Bangor.

Chris Smith, Cam Bishop, and Ian Rowe scored goals for the 2-4 Panthers. Cushing provided an assist on Bishop’s goal as Nolan MacDonnell stopped 28 of 31 shots.

Johnny Warren scored a goal and provided an assist for the 6-2 Rams. Christian Dionne and Steve Trundy scored. Matt Boehmer had two assists and Dave Pardilla assisted Trundy’s goal. Andrew Riley made 41 saves on 45 shots.

At the Forum in Presque Isle, Ben Grant scored a goal and assisted two others to lead Winslow to victory over Presque Isle.
