Clukey sparks Coyotes Old Town edges Hampden 46-42

HAMPDEN – Josh Clukey scored 14 points to help the Old Town Coyotes earn their first victory of the season, 46-42 over the Hampden Academy Broncos in schoolboy basketball action Tuesday night.

Mamadou Ba and Ethan Shankey each added 10 points for the Coyotes.

Brad Haase netted 12 points to pace Hampden.

At Bangor’s Sawyer Arena, Sean Bourgeois had a hat trick and Andy Wheeler scored the other two goals as Class B Winslow improved to 8-0 with an impressive win over Class A Bangor.

Chad Guptill had a pair of assists and Chris Jay made 12 saves.

Matt Loubier, Kevin McCabe and Derrick Lizzotte had an assist apiece for the winners.
