HOULTON – Jarryd Rossignol nailed a 3-pointer as time expired to lift the Caribou boys basketball team to a 38-35 high school victory over Houlton Tuesday night.

Rossignol finished with 15 points and Kyle Corrigan chipped in with nine for the Vikings.

Drew Farrar paced the Shiretowners with 15 points.

At Van Buren, Dominique Rossignol poured in 29 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to help the Owls hand the Crusaders their first loss of the season.

The Madawaska win also avenged an earlier loss when Van Buren beat the Owls 51-17.

Shawn Parker chipped in with 10 points for the winners.

Ben Doucette paced Van Buren with 15 points and Riley Lizotte and Alex Martin each added 12. Derek Rossignol also had 10 rebounds.
