Low-cost dental care
BANGOR – The University of Maine System offers a low-cost dental hygiene clinic to the public through April.
All dental hygiene services are provided, including oral exams, dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, athletic mouth guards and X-rays.
Dental hygiene students provide services under the close supervision of faculty. For more information, call the University College of Bangor Dental Health Programs at 262-7872.
Helping environment, local schools
BANGOR – Those who drop off used printer cartridges and old cell phones in the lobby at Results Physical and Occupational Therapy will benefit local schools and the Earth Organization.
The business at 890 Hammond St. pointed out that more than 300 million inkjet cartridges and 35 million cell phones are discarded each year.
A recycled laser toner cartridge saves three quarts of oil required to produce a new cartridge.
Also this month, Results Physical and Occupational Therapy is offering free fitness assessments from a physical therapist. For information, call 992-4042.
