An Orono woman was arrested Tuesday night after an incident at Woodman’s Bar and Grill in Orono.

A bartender from Woodman’s called police to inform them that two patrons were intoxicated and swearing at customers inside.

When the officers arrived shortly before 9:30 p.m., the bartender pointed out a male who was standing by the door, Sgt. Scott Scripture said Thursday after reading the police report.

“Then a female came from around the side of the building and started swearing at the bartender about being removed,” Scripture said.

Both appeared to be intoxicated, and although the male was unsteady on his feet, he was cooperative. The female, Alyssa Wegner, 22, of Orono continued to cry uncontrollably and spout obscenities.

Both patrons were issued a criminal trespass warning and told not to return to Woodman’s.

While they were walking across the parking lot to leave, Wegner continued to be disruptive.

“She repeatedly screamed expletives at both the male subject and the restaurant,” Scripture said.

The man she was with tried to calm her down, but was unsuccessful, and the officers decided that Wegner needed to be arrested for disorderly conduct.

They caught up with her behind the town’s public safety building, where Wegner walked toward them saying: “Go ahead, arrest me.”

Wegner was taken to Penobscot County Jail and is scheduled to appear Feb. 15, at 3rd District Court in Bangor.

A Winslow man got more than he bargained for Wednesday when he asked University of Maine Public Safety for help getting into his vehicle after locking the keys inside.

Officer Mark Coffey went to the parking lot near UM’s football stadium and after helping Ryan Roy, 25, gain access to the car, the officer spotted three separate violations.

Roy was summoned for operating after suspension of registration, failure to provide proof of insurance, and an invalid inspection sticker, according to UM spokesman Joe Carr.

A Bangor man, out on bail for violating a protection order last month, was arrested early Thursday in Bangor for violating that order for a second time and violating his bail.

Wayne Gagne, 39, approached the subject of the protection order, a 27-year-old Bangor woman, at Barnaby’s club on Odlin Road while she was with a Holden man, also 27.

Gagne apparently became combative, causing the Holden man to strike Gagne in self-defense, according to police. Gagne suffered a slight cut under his left eye, police said.

During an investigation of the incident, the protection order was discovered and Gagne was arrested. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail for violating bail conditions and for violating the protection order.

Two Hancock women were issued summonses by Bangor police on Thursday after they were caught trying to take almost $500 in clothing from a store.

Around 2:45 p.m. the loss prevention officer of Kohl’s on Stillwater Avenue in Bangor observed on closed circuit camera two females, Cassandra McPhaill, 18, and Nicole Robertson, 18, both of Hancock.

They walked around the store and collected items and then went into a dressing room. When both came out of the dressing room one of them was carrying only a candle, according to reports.

A female associate sent into the dressing room to look around found “several tags” that had been detached from articles of clothing.

McPhaill and Robertson were stopped and taken to the loss prevention office to wait for Bangor police, according to reports.

The women had been concealing about $450 worth of clothing, and both were charged with criminal theft.

A Bangor man who rode his bicycle to his workplace in Hampden had his favorite mode of transportation stolen while he was at work.

Tristan Swallow, 20, was working at Edwards Supermarket on Western Avenue on Thursday morning. When he left the store he found that his bike was missing, according to Sgt. Scott Webber of Hampden police, who read from the police report.

Police have no leads in the theft.

A 14-foot trailer was taken from PDQ Door at 589 Main Road North in Hampden sometime Wednesday night, according to police.

Employees at the garage door and security business reported the black Hudson work trailer missing around 9:15 a.m. Thursday.

There were no suspects in the theft of the trailer, valued at $4,000.
