Falt nails winner as Trojans nip Wildcats MDI avenges earlier defeat to Presque Isle

BAR HARBOR – Susan Falt hit a turnaround jumper in the lane with eight seconds to play as the Mount Desert Island girls basketball rallied past Presque Isle and avenged a loss to the Wildcats earlier this season with a 41-40 victory Friday night.

The Trojans trailed most of the game, and were down 32-24 entering the final period, but outscored the Wildcats 17-8.

Amethyst Cousins scored six of her 12 points in the fourth for MDI while Falt finished with 10.

Angela Norworthy sparked Presque Isle with a game-high 19 points.
